Broward WPB Competition is open now!

John Martin writes:
Right now we have 3 teams in the top 30, also there is only one team from Broward that is ahead of us. It is still early in the competition, it ends in March, the standings do change regularly. The kids really like it and we will be working on it throughout the semester.

South Plantation Receives Top Honor!
A Plantation First In Twenty Years!

The international recognized theatre program at South Plantation High School has been invited to bring their production of Alice in Wonderland to the pretigious 2010 Florida State Thespian Festival in Tampa this spring. THIS HONOR MARKS THE FIRST TIME IN TWENTY YEARS THAT A BROWARD COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOL FROM PLANTATION HAS BEEN ASKED TO PRESENT A FULL-LENGTH PRODUCTION AT WHAT HAS BECOME THE LARGEST HIGH SCHOOL THEATRE FESTIVAL IN THE WORLD!

But facing this challenge is raising $50,000 necessary to travel the production. The students, parents, and teachers are involved and are looking for community support. They are actively seeking personal and corporate sponsorships and are planning two benefit performances in early April. Individuals, corporations, and community groups looking for a worthwhile cause are asked to visit www.fott.org to learn about the theatre program and multiple ways to help support this amazing group of students on their way to making their dreams come true.

Congratulations to the Apr. SAC Employees of the Month: Dustin Major, Jerry Holt and Suzi Quackenbush. This is an award for their tremedous effort with the Knight's Cafe.
